The modern and, above all, lovingly redesigned ski lodge will open its doors for you in December 2022. The new extension is flooded with light and invites you to feel good, relax and enjoy. The magnificent winter panorama with a view all the way to the Kitzsteinhorn is sure to put a smile on your face for a long time to come.
In terms of cuisine, we spoil our guests with varied and traditional dishes. Austrian hospitality, coupled with a family atmosphere, makes a visit here at the Kettingalm unforgettable.

Eat & drink
As far as possible, we source our products from local companies.
Meat products are supplied directly by the Schultes butchery here in Zell am See. Thanks to our own hunting grounds in Niedernsill, we can offer you 100% local game. The village bakery in Piesendorf spoils our guests with oven-fresh baked goods every day. We would also like to recommend our home-distilled fruit schnapps, the fruits of which are of course from our own cultivation.

Relax & enjoy
The terrace here at the Kettingalm is a place to linger, as it gets the sun from early to late. Indulging in culinary delights in the sun and then relaxing in a deck chair puts you in a good mood and brings pure relaxation.
Who doesn’t love to enjoy the sun, the clear mountain air and perhaps a glass of wine with friends? You can get the perfect wine recommendation from our hut host Rudi.
Location
The Kettingalm is located at 1760 metres in the beautiful skiing area of Zell am See directly on the Schmittenhöhe.
Piste section no. 8 (Kappelnpiste) and the Hahnkopf lift take you directly to us.
A little tip: The best turns with your skis or snowboard are made first thing in the morning on freshly prepared and untracked slopes.
